This means we will have finished our 'Multiplication and Division' unit before half term and will then be ready to start a new unit of work in Maths after half term. Thank you!

This week, we are completing our unit of writing, based on the famous narrative poem called 'The Highwayman'. We will be producing our 'Gold Write' this week - turning the first section of 'The Highwayman' into a descriptive narrative. Here are the PowerPoints and resources for this week. Again, if you can't print out worksheets at home you can always use paper or a jotter for your written work.

*WELLBEING WEDNESDAY*
You are all working so hard at home and we know how difficult it is at the moment. As we are now a few weeks into lockdown, we realise that things might be starting to feel even tougher! With this in mind, we thought it would be nice to have a break from things every once in a while. So, on Wednesday (3rd February) we will have ‘Wellbeing Wednesday’ to take a ‘brain break’ from all of the hard work you are doing at home. We will hopefully run this on other Wednesdays too if it is successful! We would love to see you choose one or two of our suggested activities to help you to take a midweek break, relax and do something for your mental health and well-being at home – children and parents! We will be doing exactly the same in school on these Wednesdays too. Each class teacher might still outline a morning task on this day e.g. Science, Topic or Art. But then, we would like you to choose a mindful activity or two from the grid below. We would love to see what you get up to on these ‘Wellbeing Wednesdays’ to look after your mental health, so please tweet us any photos @BishopCEPrimary. See the link below for the grid of suggested activities.

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and are looking forward to 2021. If you are learning from home this week, I have uploaded all of our work for the week below. Remember to send me any work by uploading to your portfolio on Class Dojo. You can upload documents or photographs of any work you do on paper too. Thank you.

Reading
Read your Accelerated Reader book this week if you have it at home. If not, reading a book of your own, even for 15 minutes each day, is always very useful to practise your reading fluency.
Reading comprehension
Read this week's text and then answer the questions. We usually do this on Friday morning in school.
