Bishop Ian Ramsey Church of England Primary School

GTRSB Pledge

The Gypsy, Traveller, Roma, Showmen and Boaters’ (GTRSB) Pledge for Schools

At Bishop Ian Ramsey we are proud to be committed to the GTRSB Schools' Pledge, which outlines key actions to support the access, retention, and educational outcomes of GTRSB pupils.

We are dedicated to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and understanding environment where GTRSB children and young people feel respected, valued, and supported. To achieve this, we are taking the following steps:

  • Implementing inclusive policies that reflect the needs and experiences of GTRSB communities
  • Providing professional development for staff to build understanding and cultural awareness
  • Collecting and analysing data to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement

At Bishop Ian Ramsey we want all members of the GTRSB communities to know that their culture, identity, and learning needs are recognised and respected. Whether pupils are already part of our school community or are considering joining us, we are committed to helping them achieve their full potential and thrive in education.

The dedicated contact point within the school for GTRSB pupils and families is Mrs Sarah Howes, Headteacher
